The POS record reader is a hand-held unit. The HMAudit-RF plugs into the RF-C8500 and the RF-M8500 Hotel Locks via the supplied cable to download audit trail information for entrance and egress security identification.

Audit Trail Procedure
Download audit records from the Lock
- Step 1 - Connect the supplied cable to the Hand-held Audit / Record unit
- Step 2 - Connect the Hand-held unit to the RFID lock * via the cable and turn the Hand-held unit on.
- Step 3 - To initialize the unit, hold a blank card of white paper in front of the hand-held sensor for 3 seconds. The LED lights on the lock with respond with the red and green light illuminating one by one. The audit trail records ** will download to the hand-held unit.
- Step 4 - After the loading process is done, the lock will make one long sound. Once the sound completes, the download is complete and the unit can be disconnected
Audit Trail Procedure
Import audit records into the Hotel Management Software Database
- Step 1 - Connect the Hand-held unit to the computer via the supplied cable
- Step 2 - Launch the Hotel Management Software, enter our card system "level B" and click the " Open record" button, the audit trail will be shown on the screen.
Notes
* The RF-C8500 and the RF-M8500 Hotel Locks are fitted with a small mini-USB style input terminal. The terminal is hidden, at the bottom, of the front of the lock. The Hand-Held Audit unit attaches via the supplied cable to the lock terminal for easy access and retrieval of the audit trail data.
** The "black box" electronics in the RF-C8500 and the RF-M8500 locks store the most recent 500 unlocking records. The depth of the audit trail and ease of acquiring the data facilities and greatly improves hotel security monitoring and investigation.
