Overview

All M400 Series locks have automatic voltage sensing for 12 and 24 volts along with polarity protection to make wiring less complex. The M490 is tested and certified to meet or exceed UL1034 and BHMA 1500 lb hold force requirements.

The M400 Series line of electromagnetic locks from Schlage are designed with the customer in mind, to be robust, easy-to-install, and secure. The new bayonet mounting feature makes installs easier, allowing the installer to have their hands free during the mounting process. There is no need to consider door handing, as all the M400 Series electromagnetic locks are both non-handed and symmetrical, allowing optimum placement of the magnet no matter the application.

Fault found after bench testing to be an defect in the +V terminal connector in the terminal strip on the printed circuit board. Is this circuit board available as a replacement part? If yes, how can we order a replacement?

Q alfred • 12/18/2023, 5:58:06 AM Hi , im looking at the circuitry of maglock but observed that the NC/NO of the Lock status relay is not activating . Are there any jumper wires that i need to confiure before these can work ? I am trying to use this signal to control my air curtains installed on top of our laboratory door. Kindly advice
A 12/19/2023, 1:03:05 PM No, there are no jumper settings that need to be configured. The MBS (magnetic bond sensor) wires need to be plugged into the main circuit board and the relay should cycle once the lock is considered to be locked & bonded with the metal armature plate. For this condition to be met, the armature plate must make a complete flush connection with the face of the magnetic lock. A partial or weak connection would not be considered fully "bonded" and the relay will not cycle.
