The Schlage M490DE delayed egress electromagnetic lock is designed to meet NFPA 101 Life Safety Code while providing the same robust, easy-to-install, security of our M400 Series magnetic locks.
The M490DE has a 15-second delayed egress timer with audible alarm which can be configured to trigger by an internal “plunger switch,” or by external contacts, such as a request-to-exit push bar.

Can you disable the delayed egress feature on these mag locks?

The M490DE Delayed Egress lock has a Release Lock (RLS) input that can be triggered from an access control device to bypass the delayed egress feature. Typically used for staff bypass. To discuss this feature in further detail please give us a call at 1-866-500-5625
