The 1590 EMLock® is ideal for securing sliding or *swinging, manual or automatic doors. Its durability for high frequency use and its mortise installation make it the choice of specification writers, owners and architects.
With only two parts, the lock mortised in the frame and the armature in the door, the EMLock® secures the door in a closed position. When power is cut the EMLock® releases instantly.

The 1590 EMLock® is ideal for securing sliding or *swinging, manual or automatic doors. Its durability for high frequency use and its mortise installation make it the choice of specification writers, owners and architects.
With only two parts, the lock mortised in the frame and the armature in the door, the lock secures the door in a closed position. When power is cut the lock releases instantly.
Standard features include a compact mortise stainless steel case, field selectable dual voltage and voltage/current spike protection.

Hi,
We are thinking of specifying this for a sliding gate. Can you confirm if the maglock can be exposed to the external elements? (rain, wind, etc)

The 1591U lock is not considered to be a "weatherized" product and cannot be installed where it would be exposed to water/moisture. To discuss your project in further detail and go over products that may be better suited for an outdoor installation, please give us a call at 1-866-500-5625
